What is Team Coaching?

Team Coaching is a transformative process that helps workgroups function better as a team by improving relationships, communication, alignment, and performance.
It is neither training nor team-building; it is a guided process working with and for the team to strengthen their sense of identity, cohesion, and collective ability to face challenges together.
The focus is not on individuals but on collective dynamics that impact work quality and business results.

When is Team Coaching useful?

Team Coaching can be valuable in many situations, such as when:

  • The team needs alignment on goals, roles, or processes;
  • There are relational tensions, misunderstandings, or lack of trust;
  • Communication, collaboration, or conflict management needs strengthening;
  • The team is undergoing organizational or strategic change;
  • Integration of company values and culture into daily work is necessary;
  • There is a need to consolidate and enhance the impact of previous training (e.g., leadership, diversity & inclusion, DEI, or new internal policies);

How does a Team Coaching program work?

The process always starts with a needs assessment and context analysis, followed by facilitated team sessions.

Each session is designed to:

  • Build trust and shared accountability;
  • Address critical issues through questions, reflection, and open dialogue;
  • Transform awareness into action via concrete goals and commitments.

The program may also include assessments, feedback collection, or remote follow-ups.
Teams can include managers, middle management, or operational staff, depending on objectives.
It is also possible to work with cross-functional teams or alongside organizational change projects.

Structure and duration

  • Customized programs consisting of multiple group sessions (2 to 4 hours each)
  • Online, in-person, or hybrid format
  • Optional individual sessions (e.g., for team leaders)
  • Reporting and alignment meetings with HR or project sponsors
  • Tailored design, also integrated with existing training initiatives

Team Coaching can be funded

These interventions are eligible for funding through interprofessional funds (e.g., Fondimpresa, Fondirigenti, Fondir, etc.).
I can collaborate with your consultants or support you with project documentation and reporting if needed.
